Opmega returns to the Madrid markets with a promotional campaign for professionals and consumers
The Mexillón Producers Organization of Galicia will host tastings and exhibitions from October 4 to 7 by chef Miguel Mosteiro, who will demonstrate the versatility of a product that already has numerous stores in the Spanish capital.
Opmega will bring to Madrid its exhibition on the paper of Mullers in Galician mythology, inaugurated in Vilagarcía on March 8 on the occasion of Muller’s Day.
Vilagarcía, October 1, 2023.-The Madrid markets of Ventas and Tirso de Molina will bring together in the next few days a new edition of the promotional campaign of the Organization of Mexillón Producers of Galicia. From October 4 to 7, members of the Opmega board of directors, accompanied by chef Miguel Mosteiro, will be in the Spanish capital starring in gastronomic exhibitions, talks and other activities in which customers from these markets will be able to actively participate.
Ricardo Herbón, president of Opmega, acknowledges that in general consumers are aware of the nutritional benefits of mexillón, but this type of activities helps producers to influence this aspect and, on the other hand, show the versatility of the product. For this, the organization has the collaboration of chef Mosteiro, who will present various preparations with mollusk as the undisputed protagonist.
The programming of our popular markets includes the exhibition “A Muller in Galician mythology”, promoted by Opmega in collaboration with the Abrandares Salgadas association. After his successful passage through Vilagarcía de Arousa and Combarro, the exhibition will present in Madrid the prominent role of men in the sector, through a dozen photographs, which reflect his work from 1952 to the present
