OPMEGA DEBUTS ITS STAND AT SEAFOOD BARCELONA WITH THE MOST AMBITIOUS PROGRAMME IN ITS HISTORY
The Batéa-based organisation will welcome representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Regional Ministry of the Sea to a revamped space designed for a busy schedule of commercial and institutional activities
Vilagarcía de Arousa, 19 April 2026. Opmega arrives tomorrow, Monday, at Seafood Barcelona with a completely refurbished stand, larger than in previous editions and equipped with several meeting areas, ready to host the most extensive programme of events that the mussel producers’ organisation has ever organised at the leading trade fair for the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
Opmega’s board of directors and sales managers will be present throughout the fair to hold meetings with operators and buyers from various countries, with this edition expected to be particularly intense in terms of international commercial activity.
Among the visits already confirmed to the stand are senior representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Regional Ministry of the Sea of the Galician Regional Government.
On Wednesday 22 April, at 12:00 noon, the Opmega stand will host the presentation of the ‘Valuation of Ecosystem Services’ project, an initiative that forms part of its operational plan and will involve researchers from the CSIC.
Following this, from 1.00 pm, Opmega will provide a catering service featuring four dishes made with mussels, in a bid to showcase the culinary potential of this Galician product within the context of an international trade fair.
The new stand reflects the current phase of growth and expansion being experienced by the mussel-farming organisation, which has established Seafood Barcelona as a key platform for the marketing of Galician mussels and for direct dialogue with the relevant fisheries and aquaculture authorities.
