Opmega participates in the annual conference organized by Opromar in Madrid
“Producer organizations are a necessary and key tool to improve the competitiveness and profitability of the fishing sector” , necessary to achieve the objectives of the Common Fisheries Policy (PPC). said the Minister of Fisheries, Agriculture and Food Luís Planas, at the opening of the conference “The organizations of producers of fisheries and aquaculture: their future, new financial and legislative challenges, organized by Opromar, where Opmega participated among other Organizations presenting within the point “Development of new mussel marketing formats”, a new plant located in Boiro dedicated to the freezing and packaging of mussels and mussels in half shells, using the IQF method (individual quick freezing). This initiative complies with several objectives of the World Trade Organization such as improving the conditions of commercialization of aquaculture products and identifying the outlets to commercialize and/or channel to production.
